Is Reiki something weird or strange and does it hurt? No, Reiki is not weird or strange. It's absolutely natural. It's nothing more and nothing less than tapping into the natural Universal Energy. What religion is Reiki from? None. Reiki has nothing to do with religion. What is the purpose of Reiki? Reiki is the accessing of the Universal energy for whatever reason the person getting it feels that they need it. For some it might be emotional healing. For others it might be physical help. It might also be for mental assistance and clarity. Because Reiki is the accessing of the natural Universal Energy the "reason" it's being sought out need not be known to the Reiki Practitioner. It doesn't even have to really be known to the person seeking it. The Universe supplies exactly what's needed in exactly the place where it's needed! Is the Reiki Practitioner someone special? Nooo the giving and receiving of Reiki is exclusive of all judgment. A Reiki Practitioner is only a channel through which the energy is transferred. Can anyone become a Reiki Practitioner? They sure can! There are 3 stages to becoming a fully empowered practitioner. They're called attunements. Anyone can get them! Reiki can be used on anyone and everyone. It can even be used for oneself. Where and how is Reiki done? Reiki can be done in person as with the ~laying on of hands~ or it can be done across a distance. Both are valid and equally successful methods of Healing. Can anyone ever get too much Reiki? Can it ever hurt someone? Nooooo one can never get "too much" Reiki nor can they be harmed by it. Reiki is not part of a thought/belief system (which is exactly why it's not connected to nor in opposition to any religion) and intent is a non issue with it. It's merely the accessing of natural Universal energy which we all around us all the time anyway, through a channel which has been opened up to receive it and transfer it. |
