Before turning to over the counter medications or prescriptions, why not try some Natural Foods as Cure and Solutions to some of the aches and pains you’ve been having. In all likelihood most of them are already in your cabinets or refrigerator.

Other Noteworthy Information:

Apples

  • The SKIN has more healing power.  It contains quercetin.  Quercetin is an anti-oxidant. 
  • It is actually considered to be an exceptional anti-oxidant.  Apples are also good for their fiber.
  • Apple Juice is not as good as an apple itself.

    Garlic:

  • Lowers cholesterol
  • Thins blood (May prevent High Blood Pressure)
  • Boosts Immunity

    Potato:

  • The Healing Power is in the Peel.  The Peel contains and anticarcinogen compound called "chlorogenic acid".
  • Source of Potassium - A baked potato contains more than twice the amount of one medium sized banana.
  • Contain a good portion of daily nutritional needs.

    Chicken:

  • Can prevent iron-deficiency anemia
  • Can prevent vision loss because of it's richness in zinc
  • Can maintain a healthy nervous system
  • Can keep immunity strong
  • Rich in niacin with white meat being the higher source

    Prunes:

  • A natural laxative
  • Reduces the risk of cancer and heart disease
  • Lowers Cholesterol
  • Rich in Beta-Carotene and Potassium
  • Prune Juice has less fiber than the fruit itself but it is a more concentrated source of vitamins.

    Raisins:

  • Improves Digestion
  • Lowers Blood Pressure
  • Keeps Blood Healthy
  • Rich in Potassium which in addition to other things is what helps lower blood pressure
  • A source of a high amount of iron which makes it a good alternative for those who don't eat red meat

    Rhubarb:

  • Lowers cholesterol
  • Prevents cancer
  • Boosts immunity
  • Eases digestive problems
  • Relieves constipation
    ***Caution - If you're kidney stone prone severely limit your rhubarb contains high levels of "oxalate" which isn't processed  in the body.  It  passes through the urine and might accumulate ...which could possibly lead to kidney stones.

    Rice:

  • Regulates digestion
  • Lowers the risk of colon cancer
  • Reduces cholesterol
