Just in case you forgot, that means: My eternal soul greets Your eternal soul!

In this article I want to talk about the power of the soul! Not the power that gives men and women dominion over others (not directly anyway) but self-empowerment. I want to talk about how we access our power! I want to discuss how we use our power!

There are many methods to do this. All coming from different vantage points of course! Yet all of them ending up in the same place. And where is that? A stronger, fuller, healthier you! We can “Change the World” as Eric Clapton says in his so titled song. We just have to start.....at the home base. Love is infectious. Once we as a people learn the power of Unconditional Love, we will never be the same.

Today’s world is a funny place. Things are happening. People as a whole are finally changing for the better. Enlightenment and ~Energy~ abound! Our world is filled with so many more “older” souls than ever before. Mankind finally seems to be learning some of the lessons we were meant to. School (a.k.a Life), whether you know it or not, is in session. We have the chance now to flourish like never before. Are you reaping all that you can from life? Are you harvesting what you need, to have a successful journey here?

This is a spectacular time to live in! In case you didn’t know it, there is an astronomical explanation to all of this as well. (I told you I’d always show you the scientific proof!) On this past January 23rd, there was a very rare planetary alignment. For the first time in almost 200 years Jupiter, Uranus, and Neptune were conjoined. (That just means close together.) A perfect six-pointed star configuration in the heavens was manifested at 12:30-12:35 EST. (Can you remember where you were then and what you were doing?) Not only that, but the Sun was in Aquarius joining them, as well. Many of my associates in the Astrological arena see this as the much waited for “Age of Aquarius”. On that day, at that time, there was global meditation with the objective being a “cosmic consciousness” or cosmic power with love and good will being the focus!!!

Have you ever noticed the power of a smile? Did you ever feel it’s energetic rush? I’m sure that you have. You just might never have realized it!

A couple of years ago, my children got that lovely little school assignment known as “The Science Project”. Did we want to put food coloring in different foods and taste it like the twelve billion other people were doing? Nah! Did we want to hook up the old dry cell “thing”? Nope! That’s just not our style. I decided to have my children put into practice everything I’ve been preaching since the dawn of their creation in this plane. I won’t go into all of the details, but essentially, what they did was to stand outside of a local store and wait to see how many people made some kind of personal connection with them such as a smile, or even a glance. Then, they stood there again in anticipation of offering a friendly service which was the opening of the door. They did this “service” with a smile on their face and a word or too like, “Here, let me get that for you!” They recorded the difference in responses.

It was nothing short of phenomenal!!!! Whenever they spoke a kind word, or flashed that smile......they, (much more often than not) got one back. The ~energy flow~ was fantastic. The more they gave of themselves, they more they got. The more they got, they move they gave. It was a fun, enlightening, and a worthwhile project....for sure!!!

It is a basic law of physics that “energy cannot be created nor destroyed”. We’ve all heard that no doubt numerous times before. Well, did you realize that all of us are energy? That energy is inside of us. It is called the soul/spirit. The body is just a temporary house. We’ve had others before this and most likely, we will have others again. How we manifest that energy, is totally our choice. We always have free will.

While I have been very interested in the ~spiritual~ side of things all of my life, this past year has been so very strange. In one fell swoop I found out I had breast cancer, had an operation, struggled with chemotherapy (for 7 1/2 months), said a temporary adieu to a loving father as he went to the other side, started a support group, and got this writing job!!! Of course the writing job has been so much easier. But the point of it all is that I’m here! I survived the rough times. How did I do it? I did it all with something known as Creative Visualization.

Creative Visualization is exactly what it sounds like. It is the art of “positive thinking”. It is the realization that “thoughts” are substance, that they are real!!! They take up space. They are “matter” as sure as the chair that I’m sitting on and the hands that I type this article with! Once you really take those thoughts to your home base, your soul......nothing can rock you!

While I miss my Father terribly, I know that he is not really gone. There most definitely is another side! While I certainly did not want to have cancer, my soul understands full and well the reasons....besides which, I don’t have it any more!!! I have met so many wonderful souls as a result of my bout with it, and I have learned so much. It has strengthened even more, my commitment to the service of others, and the knowledge that with belief, everything is possible!!!

If you are struggling with an internal “demon” of sorts. Get rid of it!!! Think it away!!! Dig down deep inside yourself and tap into the power that you truly have. Negative thoughts bring negative results. *Positive* thoughts bring positive results.

Don’t believe me yet? Next time you go bowling, stand at the starting line and say to yourself “I’ll never do this. I’m going to get a gutter ball for sure!” Then just chuck the ball and watch your results. Believe me, it won’t be pretty! In the next frame, focus. Say to yourself that you will do well. Repeat it over and over to yourself. Stay centered. With care and belief throw that ball expecting nothing but great results! I’m positive (see, positive thinking) you’ll see an astounding improvement!

Never forget that the mind, body and spirit work in concert! Picture in your mind exactly what you want. Use that powerful spirit of yours to ~*energize*~ your thoughts. Don’t give up. Practice, practice, practice! It’s a technique that like anything else gets better the more it’s implemented. The rest, the more obviously physical aspects......will just fall in line!
